Environmental Policy
DanSteel A/S intends to show an environmental profile on a high level and works in general with preventive acts to achieve a better environment. Through results on a local level we want to show our surrounding neighbours results that we take our environmental responsibility serious by lowering the influence from pollution and by making current improvements.
DanSteel A/S intends through its environmental policy to contribute to a sustainable steel production by developing our technologies and working processes as well as by creating new and better solutions in co-operation with our customers.
We feel in DanSteel A/S a great responsibility to the welfare of our staff and our environment. Therefore we make analysis of our environmental influence and we try continuously to reduce it. Further we are working to make our working place safe and secure and aim to prevent accidents and worn-outs.
As a minimum DanSteel A/S commit itself to work in accordance with the national and international legislation concerning environmental claims and demands.
DanSteel A/S therefore will
- Restrict the influence of the environment, including the minimising of noise emission as well as hazardous pollution to the air, the water and the ground.
- Use of clean technology with focus on removal of chemicals with environmental risk.
- Restrict of energy and resource consumption by process optimation as well as energy effectivity.
- Working active to assure that bi products and waste can be recycled.
- Requesting that its suppliers use production methods and systems which save the natures resources and secure as much recycling as possible of the bi products.
At any time DanSteel A/S must appear as a nice and clean company, where all workers take the responsibility for the protection of the environment. DanSteel A/S must have green areas and plantation on areas which are not for use in the operation.
DanSteel A/S will be open in environmental questions and work out plans and targets to secure that the environmental policy can be carried through and that it also can be published in the green account.
