Port Safety

In year 2002, The International Maritime Organization (IMO) enacted that before July 1, 2004 all harbours and ships in international service, must carry out a range of measures with the threat of international terror in mind.
The requirements, as described in ISPS (The international ship and port facility security code) and SOLAS chapter XI-2, establish what harbours have to attend to and what to coordinate with other authorities.
The harbour of DanSteel A/S is naturally covered by the requirements, and we have therefore, in co-operation with the Danish authorities, conducted an analysis of vulnerability and a safety plan. Thereafter The Danish Coastal Authority has approved our measures and we are now an approved harbour with following data at IMO homepage :
