NLMK DanSteel A/S is 100 % owned by NLMK International B.V. (The Netherlands), and was established on 2 October 2002 on basis of the former Danish Steel Works Ltd., which was founded in 1940. Since then it has expanded and developed continuously.
NLMK DanSteel A/S' production facilities consist of a rolling mill and services in the form of shot blasting and priming, marking, tests and plasma cutting.
All plates are rolled from slabs imported from Russia, mainly from Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK). The yearly production is about 505.000 tonnes.
The main markets are countries in Northern Europe.
NLMK DanSteel A/S has its own harbour and standard-gauge tracks, which are linked to Lokalbanen.
NLMK DanSteel A/S has all the required certifications of product quality as well as management system quality and in addition hereto NLMK DanSteel A/S has received energy management certification in 2003.
