Summary of Grades - Plates
The plate programme includes
· Structural Steel
· Shipbuilding Steel
· Steel for Boilers and Pressure Vessels etc.
A selection of our grades is shown below. Grades shown in bold type normally can be supplied as standard whereas those in ordinary type are supplied by agreement and in agreed quantities.
The plate material is hot-rolled, normalizing rolled, thermomechanically (TM) rolled or normalized after rolling, according to the standard.
Acceptance and delivery can take place in accordance with the rules of the classification societies and the approval according to the European standard (CE – marking).
Plate
dimensions are described separately later in this section.

- For all products to be compliant with the EU Construction Products Directive (CPD 89/106/EC) the material must offer a guaranteed minimum impact performance. This resulted in the removal of this grade from the standard, and the lowest offered is the JR version for each yield strength variation.
- Verification of the specified impact value is only carried out when agreed at the time of the enquiry and order.

Dimensions - Plates
| Programme |
|
The dimension programme for plates is in line with current standards. As max thicknesses depend on the respective grades and standards, the summary should regarded as for guidance only.
At plate thicknesses below 8 mm - or above 75 mm (all grades) it is advisable to obtain specific information before ordering steel. |
